My homework is not marked as done
Homework that is a tool, a questionnaire, a worksheet or a video is marked done by itself, a moment after you finish it in the app (a tool your therapist does with you in the portal counts too). A photo of a paper sheet marks a tool or a worksheet done only where paper is allowed. Reading, task and link homework is marked done when you tap Mark done. If your homework still shows open or overdue, go through these checks in order.
- Wait a moment, then pull down the Homework list to refresh it. The homework is marked done a few seconds after you finish, not always at once.
- Check that you finished the tool, not only started it. A thought test counts when you tap Next Step on Assess Result, a behavior experiment when you tap Save observation or complete the experiment (not when you only start it), an exposure when you tap Finish Exposure Session, and a meditation when you listen to the end. See Test a thought with the Dysfunctional Thoughts Test.
- Check that you did it after the homework was given, and that it is the questionnaire your therapist asked for: a GAD-7 does not complete PHQ-9 homework. A tool or a questionnaire you finished before your therapist gave you the homework does not count. Open the homework, tap Open, and do it again.
- If you did a tool on paper, check that your therapist allowed paper for it. If they did, add a photo of your sheet: Mark done on a tool works only with a photo. If they did not, finish the tool in the app. A worksheet with no score that is not a consent form can be done on paper with a photo too. See Mark homework done with a photo of paper.
- If it is a form that needs your signature, sign it. The homework is done only after you sign the form. See Sign a consent form in the app.
- If it is a worksheet, check that you tapped Submit. Answers you have not sent stay on your phone and do not count.
- If it is a video, watch it to the end without skipping ahead. Closing it early or skipping to the end does not count. See Watch a video from your therapist.
- Check your internet connection. A video you watched while offline is sent when you are back online. For a worksheet, tap Submit again once you are online.
- Update CopingCard from the App Store or Google Play, then open it again.
If the homework is marked withdrawn, your therapist withdrew it, and there is nothing more to do. CopingCard tells you when they withdraw homework.
