Change, cancel or reopen homework
You change, cancel and reopen homework on the Homework tab of the client’s page. Every change is kept in the homework’s history, and nothing is deleted. You can make these changes while the client shares at least some of their data with you. If they switch off every permission, you can still cancel homework you assigned: open the client from the Homework board.
Change homework
Section titled “Change homework”- On the client’s page, click the Homework tab.
- In the row of the open homework, click Edit.
- Change Title, Instructions, the due time in Due at, or Reminders. For a tool, you can also turn May do it on paper on or off.
- Click Save changes.
For homework that repeats, you change its schedule instead of a due time: Repeat, At and Starting. The new schedule applies from the next time. The kind of homework and what it points to cannot be changed. For a different tool or worksheet, assign a new piece of homework.
A due time can be moved to earlier today, but not to a day that has passed. CopingCard tells the client that their homework changed.
Cancel homework
Section titled “Cancel homework”- On the client’s page, click the Homework tab.
- In the row of the open homework, click Cancel.
- Write why in Reason. The reason is kept with the homework.
- Click Cancel homework.
CopingCard tells the client that the homework was withdrawn. The portal notes that the client still sees it on their list, marked withdrawn, and that on the Homework tab it stays, greyed out, with its status Cancelled. Nothing is deleted. For homework that repeats, cancelling stops all the times still to come. To keep the homework, click Keep it instead.
Reopen homework
Section titled “Reopen homework”You can reopen homework that is done, skipped or cancelled, for example when something is still to finish or a skipped task deserves another try.
- On the client’s page, click the Homework tab.
- In the row, click Reopen.
- If you want, write why in Reason (optional) and set a New due time (optional).
- Click Reopen.
The homework is open again, on the tab and on the client’s list in the app. CopingCard does not send the client a notification for this. The earlier outcome stays in the homework’s history.
