Send a client a homework reminder

Besides the reminders CopingCard sends by itself at the due time, you can remind a client about a piece of open homework at any moment, for example before a session. You can send one reminder a day for each piece of homework.

  1. On the client’s page, click the Homework tab.
  2. In the row of the open homework, click Send a reminder.
  3. If you want, write a short message in A line to go with it (optional).
  4. Click Send reminder.

The client gets a notification on their phone, or an e-mail if a notification cannot reach them. It says you reminded them about that homework. Your message is not in the notification or the e-mail: the client sees it only on the homework in the app, under its instructions.

The row then shows Reminder sent and the date, and Send a reminder is greyed out until tomorrow.

When you assign homework, Reminders decides what CopingCard sends at the due time:

Setting What the client gets
At the due time, then 2 days later A reminder when it is due, and another two days later if it is still not done.
At the due time only A reminder when it is due.
No reminders Nothing at the due time. You can still send a reminder yourself.

You can change the setting later with Edit. See Change, cancel or reopen homework.
